Yeah, sometimes the web page doesn't show anything, but if you refresh or try the link again, then you see the tracking messages.

They were in some little town near the Alaska border a few hours ago.

I have to admit I didn't think those damn KLRs were gonna make it out of Maricopa County. They are one hellava long way from home!

Actually they attached the SPOT to a hippie VW van that was going the same way. They've secretly been holed up in an Indian casino hotel since the 2nd day.

Seriously, props to those guys!! Wish I was with them.

Tom, all is well with the SPOT address. I've been monitoring it daily and it's been good. Last time I tried to create a new link, the page came up blank. Not sure why, but I will leave well enough alone for now. I must note that the SPOT website is flakey at times. As of today, 47 views to the current link.

Sorry to hear about all the wetness, but I guess you gotta take the bad with the good eh? Awesome pictures guys!!!

Let me know if you need anything else!

Looks like Kevin (rumplefester) is the man taking care of the Spot link. Maybe he'll post about what's going on, if he knows.

I spoke to Tom this afternoon. They are fine, but tired. Apparently, it is cold in Alaska. Who knew?! And rainy.

As we all know, those guys have been doing some physically tough and mentally demanding riding the last week or so with the cold, the rain, and and poor visibility. All that rain takes the "bow" out of "rainbow".

They'll be resting up the next of couple of days. I believe Tom mentioned some kind of ferry ride (not fairy ride) for 5 days? That'll give them a good break. And their bikes have needed a lot of attention. All the wear items have worn.

5000+ miles in 2 weeks! Unbelievable!

Tom or Kevin --

When the Spot link is up and running again, can you post a working link here?

Thanks.

The link works and shows a one day old track. Looks like they are/were on a boat/ferry.

Bill, can you post the link you are using? Maybe mine is no good anymore cause I can't get anything.

Yeah, they were taking a ferry to some island for a few days. Unless they decided to submarine their bikes.

I just clicked on the "Where are they now" link on the N2 Alaska blog they have.

Spot is giving up tracks. Looks like Shell found another remote location.

Well, SPOT is not showing tracks now. They have at least the courtacy to post that the shared pages aren't working as they undergo maintenance. I will log onto the SPOT website and download a KML file to post on the blog as a temporary solution.
