Advice on a possible buy

might buy an 06 tc510, is there a heavier flywheel or something to make it a little more trail friendly? any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe you can add the counterbalance shaft from a SM510 wich will give you more rotating mass (heavier flywheel effect) and a smoother running engine.

You can use the TE flywheel and stator, and yes there are flywheel weights available, do a search there was a thread on here awhile ago about that.

A tuned throttle cam will help out also.

Finally--you can gear it up considerably. We raced a TC510 in baja with 16-46 and it pulled it no problem.

Counterbalancers are available from '05 model TE510's if you find one parted. I have mine lying around if you want to go that way send me a PM.

It is a noticable difference in terms of hp and vibration. Lots of 'tard racers take them out, just a heads up.
