2.75-21 tire selection

Not much of selection I should say. I'm wanting to get a better tire up front before a fall ride and there isn't much in this size for off road. Would a 80/90-21 fit? Pirelli Mt-21 comes in this size. Everything else jumps up to 90 and 100.

Thanks for any help.

Going on a crf230l btw.

2.75=69.85mm

So 70 mm wide. As long as you have room between the forks, an 80 should fit. What is the rim width?

Rim measured 2.2 and it looked like the boots on the forks are 4" apart.

An 80 would be 3.15...

I'm about 99% sure that any "normal" 21 inch dirt bike or dual sport tire will fit no problem.

These should all work.

3.00x21

80/90-21

80/100-21

90/90-21

wwm,

your front rim size is a 21x1.6 let me know if the Pirelli 80-90-21 fits on the rim. I know it will fit between the forks.I would love to put a wider tire on myself

Just found on a Pirelli fit guide that 1.6 is minimum for the 80 and 1.85 is minimum for the 90....so 80/100 should fit.

Now the back tire I want only comes in 110/100-18 and it will be replacing a 120/80-18.....according to my figures that is .5 inch taller but should work.

The MT21 comes in 120/80 but I was wanting the new model of the MT18. It's the XMCH. I think I will go with this one on front also.. It has better reports for woods riding then the MT21

Thanks for the responses!

The /100 series tires are measured differently than the /80 and /90 ones.

I think the width of the /100 is measured at the tire carcass and the others are measured at the outside part of the knobs.

Oh...thanks for the info. Guess I should look into 100/100 or else just stick to the Pirelli mt-21 120/80 that is stock size.
