Dual Sport 400

I'm about ready to dual sport my '98 WR 400, and I was curious about the WR's reliability on road. I'm currently machining Katana wheels to fit on the bike to lower it a little and for the looks. Once I get them finished and on the bike I didn't know if there is anything else anyone would recommend to make the bike more streetable. I have the necessary lights, horn, and mirror on it to comply with Missouri's laws. I would like it to be able to make a 320 mile round trip about every other weekend.
