Hello from Alaska!

Here's my 1990 650 that's been resurrected from the dead. Last time it was on the road was 95'. It's been a lot of work and a bunch of parts and learning about these machines to get it to this point. I'm doing a complete tear down this winter and really getting this thing looking good but until then everything works and it runs perfect so I'm just going to enjoy riding it for now.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like a decent alternative to spending hundreds of dollars on a new seat. At least to get some more time in the saddle. The stocker is definitely not plush.

Well I replied when i got my bike a few months ago and i think its time for another...... buy a skid plate folks. I got around 12 feet of air on a jump and bottomed out on a rock. Sad day for the dr and me. Left side of case was pushed up about half inch IMG_3706.jpgIMG_3712.jpg

No skid plate, a must.

Another one joins the DR clan!

I made some garage cleaning and traded off a XR500 and an old moped and got myself a 1990 DR650RS, i would have prefered a electric start but i got the weight above my foot so kickstart is no problem.

It has 33k miles on it, is there anything i should keep a lookout for except change the gas and oil in it?

Its been started about once a year but hasnt left the garage since 2008.

My 1992 Husqvarna wr250. New top end this year. Still need to buy the proper decals but the husky stickers will work for now. And I have to fix the leak behind the sprocket(swing arm oily)

      Hi,
have an 84 pe 175 and really struggling getting the bike to run properly.
Carb was thick with crud, so replaced the pilot and main jet, along with the needle valve assembly. Set the needle midway and mix at one and half turns out. Didn’t run great and raised the needle clip up to lean it out, and 2 and half turns on mixture. Runs ok, but does have a flat spot from close throttle to full open and is dumping fuel back into the box and leaving a puddle.  And I can’t understand why. As I said replaced the usual suspects, checked the float and level and all seems good. And although the carb looks good, can’t determine if this worn out, Reed valves or I’m Just being stupid?
Any advice would really help, as its doing my nut.
      Cheers

I have some new rims in sizes 18x2.15 and 21x1.6. This would be inside measurements, flange to flange. 32 spoke holes in both.

They are new, in chrome , good for adding some bling to a modern bike, or restoring an older one.

      I listed them on ebay.

      Hi all,
Im a little bit smaller of a rider about 5`2 or 5`3 110 pounds.  I feel ive outgrown my crf150rb and am looking to go to a a 250 next spring.  Whats the slimmest/smallest 250f out there. Ive almost entirely ruled out a Yamaha because i went to a dealer to look at them and they feel and look so much bigger than all the other 250s.  Kawasaki seems like its a smaller slimmer skinnier bike but the Suzuki doesn't look bad either.  Ktms seem huge to me and really haven't looked at hondas yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks
