Could I Put A Cdi Cr 250 96` On A Cr 250 98`??

Recommended Posts

At first i am gonna introduce me in this forum, i am from spain for that reason I dont speak really good english, I was visiting this forum a lot of time ago and now I wanna participate.

My question is I have a CR 250 of 98, and I have the cdi and the coil broken so I have to change it, the man who sold me the motorbike took off the power jet, he put a carburator from cr 250 96(without power jet).

So now I think I have to put a CDI from CR 250 96`, cause every CDI is thougt for a concret carburator.

CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM ME THAT??

thank u

Welcome to the forum!! The '96 and '98 CDI's look fairly different and seem have different connector setups. I'd stay with a '97 - '98 CDI and just leave the powerjet connector disconnected.
