Quick MCCT install question.

Recommended Posts

I'm out in the garage finally installing my MCCT. Quick question. Do you re-use the gasket from the ACCT, or ditch it and rely strictly on the o-ring on the new MCCT?

Thanks.

To save weight I ditched the original gasket and just used the oring. No leaks

How much horsepower did this add?🙂

Ditched mine too. Of course my timing chain was way stretched. Ditched that too, but decided to put a new one in as the benefit of having this installed out weighed the loss of weight without it.

Holy snapping samon... thats the most most bizzare reply I've ever seen to a tech question here.

But then in fairness, I don't get around to much here either..

Piss the old gasket of, please. The pressure inside the the CCT unit is secondary in line. A dodgy gasket is less effective than a whole sealing O-ring.

This subject can get deep, but I'll leave that to others.
