rebuild is complete, thanks TT for all the info

Recommended Posts

I picked up a 2001 YZ250 earlier this year and decided to refresh the bike a little. Started out with wanting to just do the top end and ended up doing both the top and bottom. Between using my manual and posting and searching here on TT, I was able to get everything done without having to take it to a shop except for the suspension rebuild. At this point, it's pretty much a new bike. Here is a list of everything that I did:

New OEM piston kit

New Wiseco Crank, Seals & Bearings

New OEM cylinder

WR 3, 4 & 5th gear swap

Replaced the four tranny bearings

Replaced the swingarm, linkage & headset bearings

New Ironman front and rear sprockets and new chain

Powdercoated the frame

New throttle cable

New radiator hoses

New chain guides and rollers

Installed a Rekluse clutch

Suspension rebuilt by Enzo

Replaced a few other small parts here and there

I couldn't have done it without all the info I was able to find on here!!🙂
