putting cams back in, stroker

ive begged, pleaded and prayed. Nothing but nothing gets these cams back in, the chain is so tight it wont allow. whats the trick?

CCT out? It's a tight fit for sure. The second cam kind of "snaps in"

it must be a newer chain, no luck whatsoever. You have the chain on when you pop the second cam in? I just cant see that! Yes 470 (+5)stroker

Have you tried completely removing the MCCT from the engine? Not just backed out to the end of its adjustment.

Keep in mind I haven't installed a stroker so I have no idea what I'm talking about.

it is backed out so much that it has no contact with the chain anymore. Removing it would not give me anymore slack.

one of the guys sead he had to remove the MCCT and one of the sliders to get the cams in

I just put a new cam chain in my 470 a couple months ago trying to diagnois a noise problem. The chain was not the problem but what a pain to reinstall. It can be done its just a fight. Good luck

did you get the inlet cam in ?

? got em in, had to take off the case cover to see that the cam chain was just slightly off the sprocket.
