FCR Quickshot

Recommended Posts

I have noticed several shops selling quickshot-covers for the FCR.

Is it any point to add one ? ,Is the gains in throttleresponse noticeable?

Interesting product, is it similar to what the R&D Powerbowl does link

I was thinking that these were more gimmick, that was until I spoke to a friend who's a mechanic and has fitted them to CRF's and swears buy them, well says they actually help..

It does sort of work, but mostly it is a band-aid gimmick to mask improper jetting. Save your money, jet your bike correctly instead.

Have read the posts about AP Timing and jetting ,but I don't have any problems with current jetting or timing,so I just wondered if a quickshot will give me a bit better/faster responce on the throttle,or if these products just are bogus.

If you bike does not bog, pulls cleanly thoughout the rev range, there is nothing more to do with the carb. To get it to rev faster, your attention needs to go to the engine and exhaust.
