NEEDLE sizes and differencies for FCR

Recommended Posts

Hi all: The bike WRF250 2007.

Where can I find the different Needle sizes and specs?

I changed the stock needle and jet, for a FMF Neddle and a JD JETTING 175 Jet and think this is causing a terrible performance between 1/4 and 3/4 throtle.

I think this is due to differencies between the jet and the needle.

I ride mostly under 3000 feet and a very high 85 - 110 ºF temp.

can someone confirm if this theory is correct? and let me know where to find needle specs?

thanks

MrPink

You will not find any needles to directly compare a FMF (which is a repackaged Dyno Jet one) needle. The needle and developement is what you are buying when you hget a jet kit.

When considering OEM needles, the stock WR needle is non-adjustable in the US due to emissions rules. Since a lot of people mod thier bike to be more 'YZ like', using a YZ needle for the same year is not too uncommon. Your stock needle may be adjustable.

Additioonal needles of different tapers and diameters can be had at your local dealer. If none show for your WR in the parts book, have them look at the YZ one.

The fact that you are using a James Dean main (which is nothing moer than a stock Kehien part, same as oem) means nothing.
