OK, I Give Up..mounting 1 1/8 bars :(

Recommended Posts

I have Protaper 1 1/8 bars, and do not want to raise them which using the universal adaptor blocks would do. I bought the Protaper "Universal" rubber mounts but the bolts are bigger (M12 instead of M10) and do not want to drill out the cone washers and intrument mounting plate. My bike is an '06 TE610.

Protaper said they have nothing to fit other than than the universal raisng bocks.

Renthal website had nothing on their site for Husky.

Other than the $160 + shipping for the FBF Billet rubber mounts is there anything else?:)

I even went to the Easton site for their new 1 3/8 bars but they have nothing for husky either...

or you could get the clamp off a 2002 KTM EXC 250, 400, 450, or 525 which uses an M10 bolt if those bushings from your old one will work with the ktm's clamp- seen in below pic of FBF

Part numbers

6 0912100250 DIN6912-M10X25,10.9,L $1.11 (need 2)

I actually have a set of Ferracci adapters I'll sell you cheaper than that. Still in the packaging. Here is a picture if interested.

I used the Renthal Bar mounts with the Bonz top clamps that also mount the handguards - the only downside is the bolts are not long ebough to use the stock bar riser/spacer.
