Thread Locker thats ok to use in gas??

what theadlocker or leak lock can i use that is ok to work in gas?

im not sure if my regular loctite blue will work,

i need to use some to fix a leaky petcock for a little while, until the new one arrives.

plumbing supply houses or home depot have a thread sealer for heating oil pipes, i think its called leak-loc or somthing, or maybe automotive gas tank repair stuff, not much holds up to gas.

a thread locking compound won't fix a leaky anything

buy a new petcock..........i happen to know somewhere you can buy one, and btw your stud came in today:thumbsup:

thanks cam ill come pick it up friday when im in slc,

i did buy a new one its for a cobra tho, it is back ordered and wont be here till next week at best, and jack races this friday here in tooele, it only leaks very little and hardly anything at all while he is actually riding, the cobra pet cocks are junk by the way,

Sometimes, a petrocarbon resistant silicone O-ring lube will help.

can i buy this at autozone or the homedepot?

Depends on where your leak is. I had a leak just under the o-ring where you turn it off and on. I put loc-tite around the o-ring and it never leaked again. I was very happy it worked.
