WR250X front sprocket?

I put a 12t on the front, I was never in 6th gear and rarely ever hit 5th so I went for more torque and less speed.....which it still goes just as fast cause the engine was unable to push through 6th gear unless you where going downhill......

I chose not to do the rear mainly on cost, you would have to buy a new chain or have a pro-rivet-chain tool to add links to your stock chain, and 1 down in the front = adding 4 in the rear, so you get more out of it for the money......

It will make your chain wear out a little quicker, but not so quick that its unreasonable..

I finally found a hard stat on the vibration from increasingly smaller sprockets. It seems to be due to the variation in chain speed around the sprocket. Since the chain isn't actually round it has to speed up and slow down by some percentage as the front sprocket rotates tooth by tooth. There's a formula, and it depends on chain size and sprocket size, shorter links being smoother and larger sprockets being smoother.

The frequency of the vibration goes up as the front sprocket rotates faster.

Anyway, for a 520 size chain, the change in chain speed per sprocket size is:

16T = 2.0%

15T = 2.2%

14T = 2.5%

13T = 2.8%

12T = 3.3%

11T = 3.9%

10T = 4.8%

The rear sprocket is way down around 0.2%.
