Need Help With FCR Install

I picked up a old style fcr with both boots from a e model for my s model. I have the boot on the cylinder but cant get the carb to drop down far enough to line up with the boot.The coast bracket on the bottom hits the starter before it even gets close to level. I read up on this and thought it fit.

Post a picture. It fits right on. Not sure why you are having a problem. CE is on the left side, not the bottom.

It has a blue pull knob and a hose on a bracket below the carb bowl that hit on top of starter. I'll try and post pics tonight.

thats the hotstart on a kicker carb.you will have to remove it to put it on a e start bike.

I suspected that. Hot start - kick start- no starter motor - no problem.

The carb is from a "DR-Z400" not "DR-Z400E". Just remove the hot start and seal off the hot start ports.

Thanks for the help guy..Alba action shows the same carb with the hot start on the kick and e models,must be a misprint..

It will look better and easier to adjust without that stuff..
