Thinking of the new WR250Rs...

Recommended Posts

I'd really like to look into getting something dual-sport, for exploring some of the back mountain roads/trails around the Central Valley. But, I'd also like something that can get to highway speeds as required...

I'm assuming the same kind of engine work, increasing the 250 to a 280, can be done with these bikes like the YZ and the WRFs. Can anyone here give me the pros/cons, and about how much that kind of work costs?

Thanks! :)

Even a 280 is small at highway speeds. I think that bike has a different motor than the WR's and not much aftermarket stuff is out there.

A couple friends have street legal KTM 450's and love them.

the WRR is much different than a WRF. actually if not for the name, totally. different suspension, frame, motor, trans.

they also weigh a heck of alot more. dualies are fun, i've been having a blast.

where in cali do you live?
