Sparks FCR39 at starting point

Recommended Posts

I just purchased a sparks fcr39. I am at 800 feet elivation and could use any info on where to begin the jetting process. I know they come prejetted so that will help. It is stock bore je 12.1 comp ,hot cams ,port and polish. alum air box which required the honda250r k&n filter which is twice as big to alow more air.

200 is the main air jet.

to the left of the 200 is probably a spring loaded screw.

its should be 1.5 turns with that big of a pilot jet.

or get a 45 pilot jet and set it 1 turn.

3rd clip with the emp needle.

165 main jet with no air box lid is fine.

runs good but i don't see any difference from the stock carb. It should be more snappy I would asume. I know the 52 pilot is to big by trying to set the air fuel screw I can turn it all the way in.

Will changing the pilot jet down from a 52 which is to rich to a 45 make it quicker? Or is there something else i should do?

OK the pilot circuit is good now .runs better but at 1/4 throttle 1st gear it has a slight hesatation then takes off run. Could it the the accelotator pump. And what jet does that need.

you have a old styel fcr.has no "jet" for the ap.

you need to make sure the squirt starts as soon as the slide moves and lasts for 1 to 1.5 seconds.
