A question regarding the JD Kit

Hey,

in a few days I'm about to put a Keihin FCR MX on my ol' 1996 610 and was intending to put the JD kit on it, but not sure which one. I reckon the most similar engine is the SMR 610 (is SM 610 R ?? ) so should I take that one?

A bit of a weird combination but I hope I can work something out from JD's kit even with my bike? If I'm not mistaken SM 610 has same engine as TE 610...

What elevation are you at? Knowing that will help when fine tuning the carb ?

BTW, just to make sure everyone understood me right - not asking for jetting info (yet) just asking

which kit do I buy, the one for the 510 or the SMR 610?

Anything else that is needed? Humidity is about 46% outside right now, temps peak out at 100°F.

The carb I bought comes with a

170 Main Jet

42 Idle (or pilot)

55 AP Jet (or leak jet)

72 Choke Jet

My Dell'Orto is jetted as

170 Main Jet

50 Idle

35 AP Jet

45 Choke Jet

I reckon the only thing I'll need to replace is the choke jet, that is if the AP isn't gonna bog due to lack of squirt.
