TTR125 motor ?????

Recommended Posts

I saw an ad from a guy the other day that built a race motor for a TTR125. One of the mods he did was remove the counter balance shaft of the crank.

I have been unable to get in touch with the guy so I thought I'd ask the masses if they know if this would work or what the effects might be.:)

I had an idea that it would vibrate more. But, would the power gain out weigh the destructive nature of the vibration?

Been running two worked motors without balancers for about 5 years no problems other than slight vibe. In some big big bores it must be removed. Engine is snappier or more responsive. You have to split the cases. I take the gear off the crank as well and machine up a aluminum spacer for even less crank weight.
