yoshi rs-2 baffle removal

Recommended Posts

Hello all

just fitted a new yohi rs-2 system to my s/moto, i am having problems removing the baffle/spark arrestor, i have removed the bolt and was just expecting to slip the baffle out and it doesnt want to move, having spent a lot of money on the exhaust i dont want to scratch or damage it. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you get the baffle out.:)

I don't know if a Yosh is the same, but on my FMF Q2, it wouldn't budge cold. But once I got the exhaust warm, I was able to work it out. Have you tried it after it's warmed up? Just be careful not to burn yourself.

Hello Jones's.

There is some sealing compound on it that makes it stick.

Many methods to do this:

1) push thumbs in and twist and pull

2) Use the spring tool to hook SA and pull

3) Use screw driver and slip it in between arrestor and muffler to nodge it out (the SA should have a little gap even, I think)

Good luck :)

Look around the black rim and you will see an indent. Place a regular screw drive in an it should pull out. Once the seal is broken it should come right out.

You could also put some tape on the screw driver tip to avoid any scratches.

Pros of leaving the Tec-Insert in: Quiet

Cons of leaving the Tec-insert in: No results from your money spent in terms of hp gains.

Pros of removing the Tec-Insert: Power

Cons of removing the Tec-Insert: Loud

Serious? they just explained how to take it out.

on the RS2, near the tip there is a 5mm allen, remove it. Then on the black ring on the tip there is an indent put a flathead screwdriver in there and pry, it will come out.
