Installing VForce

Recommended Posts

Hey I'm installing a VForce on a friends bike (KX85) and I'm pretty sure the rubber tabs on the intake manifold need to be cut. Do I really need to put the cage together with the supplied washers and cut down with a hack saw or can I just take a blade (or hacksaw) and cut the tabs off flush?

Or to make a long story short, do the tabs need to be cut flush with the manifold?

it was a nightmare to install vforce on a 05 kx85, he had to shorten the boot plus just to get the bolt in was a nightmare,

we did cut the tabs also, next time buy boyesen :)

they fit so much better just like stock.

I was working on a 2006 KX85. I just cut the 2 tabs off the intake manifold and it went on fine.
