99 power valve help!!

Recommended Posts

I am in the middle of disassembling my power valve on my 1999 125exc and im stuck. I got it all disassembled except for the rod that attaches to the top of the actual power valve. I cant figure out how to get the two peices apart. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

there are 2 peices to the actual powervalve, one comes out with the cover and the other is mounted to the gears in the cylinder. I cant get the one mounted to the gears out of the exhaust port. It moves up and down but the vertical mounted peice is stoping it from coming out. Make sense?

1) pull the middle gear out - this is the one closest to the head.

2) thread an appropriate bolt (try one of the cover bolts - 6mm or 8 mm) in to the pin you want to remove (located in a hole at the head mating surface). Pull out the pin using the afore mentioned bolt to grasp it.
