gas soaked air filter? (wheeling)

Recommended Posts

So my ssr 125 sbr is finally dialled in, i made some pegs for it (rear ones), and re-inforced the existing ones. I am now, what i would consider, pretty good at wheelies. It took me awhile to figure out why my bike runs like poo after doing wheelies, its not flooding, or other common things, it spits out gas vapors...or even gas itself and ends up soaking the air filter. Once this happens it does not breathe like it should so it ends up running bad. Is there anyone else with this problem (other brands, or other bike similar) or is it just mine. Any suggestions... i made a rubber hose space thing to extand the leng of hose between the airfilter and carb but it didn't help!

Whenever i ride it with the air filter off its a blast! but i dont think that will last too long. :)

Sorry for being OT, but do you have any pics/info on your rear pegs?

Um, i can tell you what i did... and get pictures later. I just welded piping on the axle bolt, and nut itself. It works great, but doing wheelies on the pegs is a whole different feel.
