Cam or Pipe?

Should i get a stage one hot cam or pro circuit t4 gp exhaust system and why.

Cam will probably give you more bang for the buck although I'm not sure I'd go with a hot cam. Sounds like Crower or Williams has some good cams. If you're going for a pipe you should look at the MRD stuff also, you might be able to get a cam and a pipe sinc the MRD stuff is a lot more affordable.

Done both ... what exactly are you looking for??? Low, mid or top end??

In general, the cam is the most bang for the buck, but if its low end you want, and money is an issue, I would recommend:

1. Hotcams Stage1 cam (check ebay $120 range)

2. MRD torque header (just the header pipe .. not the cam . $150)

You can get BOTH for probably cheaper than the Pro Circuit exhaust ... if LOW END is what your after ?

I have them both on my wifes bike (see garage) and also have the MRD can.

Im looking for an overall power increase in the power band. I have a secret source where i can get the pipe for 150-200 bucks,new.? . I csn get the cam for 120 bucks. What should i do?

I have a hot cams stage one and a FMF Powerbomb header and Ti Powercore pipe, they both work excellent. you can check em out in my garage.

with just the right cam our bikes get another 1.5 hp and almost 2 ftlbs of bottom torque at 7000 rpm! and the throttle response and carburation improves with it a lot.... takes away reversion in the intake which helps get rid of the bog under 5k rpms. mucho good

i would not even bother with the "Hot Cam" it is not much better then stock. If you are going to do it, do right and go with the Crower cam you are going to get what you pay for that way.

im thinking about the crower sportsman package and i was wondering is it worth $700 for a crf 250r though(when i get it)
