Need a quiet muffler for my wr250, any suggestions?

i have been looking for a cheap quiet muffler for my wr250 and i wanted to get your guys suggestions.

you don't get much quieter than a stock wr250f muffler. if you don't have one, they are cheap.

or maybe a FMF Q series muffler

Stock is the quietest you can get. If you try to go quieter, it will totally kill the performance. You can re-connect (if you have it disconnected) the grey wire too and that will also soften the 'bark'.

Where can a guy get his db level checked? I have no idea where I am at with that but my bike is street legal otherwise.

the Q is louder than stock. it like a 93db pipe. the stock WR muffler is like 82db

I like the leovince x3. they are about the only manufacture I've found that actually publish info.

hope this link works. if you click sound measurment they have the db of the system. at 7.2K rpm the Leovince hits 94db, stock measured 95db.

7.2K is pretty high for a sound check, LV seems to post the max rpm that the pipe will stay under 94dbs. on my 450 the x3 was louder at idle but is pretty quite at usable rpm.
