dumped in the water

Recommended Posts

Dumped the zed in the lake. Would not start.

Dried air filter.

Took out spark plug, turned it over a bit to clear any water if it was in the cylinder.

Unscrewed a plug in the side of the carb, water came gushing out.

Replace spark plug, remounted tank, put fuel petcock on prime, ran some gas out the carb plug.

Tightened carb plug.

Bike fired right up.

Fun fun fun.

Now it's time to grease the rear suspension and headset!

My headtube was filled completely with water after submersion.

Don't want the pivot shaft seizing.

I submersed mine trying to cross a giant mud bog. The mud was pretty damn soft in the middle!

Now change the oil to make sure it isn't full of water.

It's like you are riding and you spin out and fall down.
