anyone know if this will this fit

What year and model motorcycle do you plan to put this tank on? The tank in the ad is, in my opinion, absolutely, positively NOT an Acerbis 3.3 gal (12.5 ltr) tank for a 2003-2005 YZF 450. I have the Acerbis 3.3 gal tank on my 2006 WR450F that I carried over from my 2003 WR450F. The YZ's and WR's used the same tank from 2003 through 2005 and the 2006 WR450F used the same tank as the 03-05 YZF's. Check the pictures and the part numbers for 2003-2005 YZ's and 2003-2006 WR's at this link . Whatever they are selling is not an Acerbis tank for YZF/WR Yamahas. It is also not an Acerbis 3.3 gal. tank for a 2006 and later YZF or a 2007 and later WR. One caveat to this discussion-- my experience is with Acerbis for the American market only. However, I didn't see anything that looked like the tank in the Ebay ad in the Acerbis Europe website.

hi i have a 2005 model wr my mate has a 2005 yzf both 450,d and the tanks are different.

Yes, the stock tanks are different sizes. Also, the seat mount post that is screwed into the tank is located in a different location between the two models of bikes. However, the tank mounting holes are the same for 2003-2006 WRs and 2003-2005 YZFs. The 3.3 gal Acerbis tank that fits the bikes for these years requires YZF radiator shrouds and comes with two threaded holes in the tank, so you can accommodate either a YZF or WR seat. The 2005 and 2006 WRs came with YZF style radiator shrouds as original equipment-- no need to buy new radiator shrouds.

When you call up the part numbers for the 2003-2005 YZF 450 and 2003-2006 WR 450F 3.3 gal tank in the Acerbis catalog, the part numbers are identical. When you look at the picture of the 3.3 gal tank that fits your bike in the Acerbis catalog, you will see that the tank pictured in the Ebay ad is not the same tank. You had better ensure that what the seller is offering is in fact an Acerbis 3.3 gal tank for a 2003-2006 WR450F. If the answer is yes, then you have to determine why the seller's picture doesn't match the picture in the Acerbis catalog. Finally, I can assure you that the picture in the Ebay ad doesn't look like my Acerbis 3.3 gal tank currently mounted on my 2006 WR450F.
