'08 xc 300 jetting ?

Recommended Posts

Just purchased a new 300 xc and it's awesome:applause: I am in the process of jetting, but I still have it tooo rich--and the pucker factor is still waaayy more than the yz125 and wr250:thumbsup: . Anyway, I changed the jetting to exactly what's in the manual for the 5001ft. + in elevation. My hometown is about 4,700 ft, low humidity, and in the 80's to upper 90's in the summer. Can anyone give me a starting point for jetting for this elevation or give a link for jetting? thanks

5000'-8000' - 158 main jet, N3CH needle in the #3 clip position. Above 8000' +/- use a 155 main. This is what I use in similar conditions and it works as well as anything I've tried so far.

N3CH is a needle option on the 2001 YZ250.

Yamaha part # 4SR-14916-CH-00.

I just got back from Ketchum, my 300 worked just flawless rode from about 5-9K i was running a 38 pilot the optional needle N2ZW #2 and a 160 main. I do have the Dicks racing carb and head mods, but I think that would be a good starting point. I run 50:1 Dumonde Tech DTP
