Would Reflective Tape Work?

Recommended Posts

I doubt reflective tape would do anything. If you want to reflect some heat, try some HVAC tape or something like that. Not sure if there's room, but maybe some Dynamat would fit? Seems like pissing in the wind to me:excuseme:

Good as a heat shield on the underside of your gas tank kinda like the Pro Circuit ones?

My biggest concern is it melting. It meaning the thin metallic tape.

Thanks

It'll help a little. Used it on snowmobile hoods where the pipe melts the plastic and it usually does the trick. The foam backed alum tape would be better but I've never got it to stick and stay so just use a few layer of the thin alum tape.

I backed my rt side plate with the aluminum duct tape, cause the heat from the exhaust was causing the graphics to lift. It helped that but now the tape is peeling pretty bad at the edges...It has been 7 months...and it is cheap...so I guess it is all right.
