State senator

Karen Fraser, D15,714 76%

Erik Lee, D4,856 24%

And Chrissy is leading again for Governor. I don't know how much more tax and spend leadership it will take to get people to vote these clowns out of office.

Yeah, just think of things too look forward from the super majority of dems..

-more regulation of riding areas

- more attacks to ban and outlaw us

-draconian tax raises...we are facing 3 billion dollar deficit in just 4 years under Gregoire...what do you think will happen in another

4 years? Thats right they will come to us and tell us because of shortfalls we will need to have a state income tax.

-tolls everywhere in western Wa. You think they will honestly stop with just I90 and 520...yeah right!

- Oh and best of all more Indian tirbal casino's.

I cant see Chris Gregoire wining. i just cant:rant:

your forgetting...this is the same washington state where they had a town hall in Bellevue two weeks ago where people unanimously wanted to have the tolls for 520 and i90 sooner than later and the more $$$ the better. The reasoning is that it would be cheaper to do now than later. My only question is ...how can the Romans build bridges 2000 years ago that are still in use and we cannot build them to last 50 years?

How convient tolls are too....they can say..."oh because people are driving less and the taxes are diminishing ont he gas tax... we need to make up for it somewhere" - you mark my word, this will happen unless theres a radical shift in this state. Which I dont see any hope for.

Most Bellevue-ites think that turning I-90 into the Lexus Lane will keep all the riff-raff at home and make their commutes shorter. That's their hope. Thing is, it'll happen.

So why are freeways free and marine highways cost money to travel on? 👍

One day before we exceeded the National Ambient Air Quality standards for ozone down at the Enumclaw monitor last Saturday I got another YZ250 two stroke plated for legal road use. I didn't even start the motor on Saturday and we still exceeded the NAAQS??? :worthy:

omg - I didnt even think of that. The libs are going to have all that much more ammo on outlawing and OHV'ers now...at teh very least make emmisions in this state like California...increase fees to astronomical levels.

Hello Red and Green sticker. You could sorta tell when they issued the warning on Friday that they didn't want (wink*wink*) us exceeding the NAAQS over the weekend. Gosh, it's just too darn bad we'll all have go through WAY more extensive air quality permitting for everything. Newspapers said it would only make it harder to build a new factory for example. How many factories are built in WA anymore?? 👍:worthy:

All I can say is I've lost more riding areas in the last 8 years of the Bush dictatorship than I've seen in my 50+ years of riding. Are you doing more riding these days or cutting down because it now cost $50 just to drive to the riding areas? Go ahead and flame on me but IMO "those dems" are not the problem.

Yep, it is your civil duty to disobey unjust laws...otherwise, how can they ever change?

Did you notice the county by county breakdown of votes? King county had the worst turn out (17%) and is pushing Gregoire to the front faster than anyone. The counties with the highest turnout (Columbia & Jefferson - both over 55%) have Rossi way out front. The problem is the population base is much smaller in these, and most other counties where Rossi leads. 2 things need to happen: 1) People need to get out and vote 2) We need to make King County secede from WA.

My only question is ...how can the Romans build bridges 2000 years ago that are still in use and we cannot build them to last 50 years?

It' simple, the Romans had Slave labor and piles of cash looted from countries they invaded and occupied.

We've somehow messed the second part of this up.

"We the people" spend huge amounts of money on our invasions and occupations but all we get is debt. It stays with us and is handed down to our children and grandchildren. This protects their "freedom" to someday work in sweatshop building cheap plastic crap for Chinese kids.

However; the loot from our invasions and occupations goes to corporations. (Halliburton, Exxon, Blackwater etc...) The corporations thank us for this by moving their headquarters to places like Dubai so they don't have to pay any of it back in taxes. It's AWESOME!

Don't fret though. If can only get another couple more consecutive neo-con administrations, slavery will be back in style and we may finally be able to build a pyramid so they can exhume Reagan and give him a fitting monument. ;-)

OK I am confused..the who point of this thread was some people are worried about another deomcrat super majority in this state. ITs the Democrats in Olympia the last two years in a row that have tried to outlaw us through loophole legislation. Last time I checked it wasnt G. W Bush and his evil minions of "right wingers."

So by the rational of handouts to Haliburton you must be equally annoyed with Gregoire forgoing billions $$ in tax revenue from Indian Gambling in this state, making it a felony if you play dollar slots online for the nice hefty donations or the Billions $$ in hand-outs she gave to the construction unions through the 10 cent gas tax hike. Sticking it to poor people in this state...especially those on fixed incomes in Eastern Wa. who get zero benifit from that?

Some would say we actually still have slave labor...its called illegals as endorsed by the deomcrats through sactuary citys.

If you seriously don't believe "those dems" are not the problem in Washington State I sincerely suggest you spend 1% of the time I do dealing with what goes on in Olympia every spring. I'll gladly compare notes on the subject.

The "Bush dictatorship" has nothing to do with the loss of riding oppertunities on Washington State managed public land. You can thank the Washington State DNR bureaucrats and the Democrat dominated Washington State Legislature for that. Riding area losses on federally managed lands can be credited to lawsuits by so-called "green" organizations and the limp Federal career bureaucrats that like all bureaucrats, take the path of least resistance.

Realistly speaking, offroad motorcycling is not even a blip on the radar screen for the executive branch of the Federal government.

That said, rest assured that both major political parties are first and foremost beholden to their sources of funding and power regardless of the impact on anything else. In their minds we are merely minor colateral damage in the war for complete control.

That is a brutal deal...Gregiore basically left hundreds of millions (not billions though) sitting on the table when she struck those deals with the casinos. That is OUR money she left on the table!! Then surprise, surprise, she gets huge donations from the tribes.

Further, Gregoire is running the state into bankruptcy, mark my words, we will have an income tax yet still retain the sales taxes to support her 'welfare state'. We will be the highest taxed state in the country, and the people that live outside of King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties will be getting the shaft like has never been seen before.

The state beaurocracy/number of employees continues to grow and not surprisingly the new state jobs are in unions that like to support democrats. She is hiring votes.

We should just give King County to California...

But who made the decisions that caused you to lose those riding areas? I think you'll find the trail leads to Dems.

Though that woman that's now head of the USFS is no friend to moto's or mtn bikes. I can't believe Bush allowed her in that position.

I’m not from WA but didn’t Gregiore just veto something that would have been very bad for the ORV community?

Why is it that all you good conservatives want to ride on public land anyway? You want big government to provide the land for your private recreation? You expect them to be maintained and policed with our tax dollars? What’s up with the sense of entitlement to a tax payer handout? It all sounds sort of socialist if not down right commie to me! Why do you guys hate America?

I remember when I was young and we had about a billzillion acres of private forest to ride on. Then those damn Dems and greenies that run the timber companies kicked us of! They took 90% of our riding from us! That’s when I learned which party is really not our friend.

Then what little is left on public land is being logged left and right, again the Dems and sierra club are screwing us! Bastages!

God(fundamentalist version of course), how I dread any dem getting in power. For six years the republicans controlled all the branches of our government. After Sept 11 the presidents approval rating was through the roof. The republicans could, and did, do anything they wanted and no one dared question them for fear of being labeled unpatriotic or worse. And just think of all the glorious things our republican friends did for us during this time period! Oh how they used this remarkable power for our benefit. They did so much for us like, ummm I am drawing a blank here but I am sure they did a whole bunch since they are such good friends and supporters of us.

Anyway remember to vote republican or the dems will come to your door and seize your dirt bikes (while they are taking your guns), force you to convert to Islam, teach your children to be gay, move the countries capitol to France, give U.S. citizenship to all of Mexico, surrender to OBL, decriminalize heroin, and close all public forest to anyone who is not a hybrid driving sierra club member.

Thank You and God bless America
