popping?

so i finally decided to re jet my crf450.

the guy before me was a woods rider and im assuming he had a different pipe on it because he was running a 148 main jet. (my bike was burning really rich) so i swaped it out with a stock 140 with the stock pipe and now i get a really bad popping everytime i let go of the throttle out the exhast and it barely ideals by itself. i pulled the plug again and its still rich. i also set the fuel adjustment screw to stock 1 1/2 turns..also it dies a lot when its idling

any ideas?👍

ya i think he means 48 - 40. not 148 and 40

your thinking of the slow jet. try the fuel adjustment screw
