09 YZF250 forks

Recommended Posts

I am glad to say I had an 09 YZ-250F fork apart today and the outer chamber actually had clean, clear fluid in it. Nice to not see the thick crisco, french fry oil in it.

I rode one last week and have to say the suspension is very good. It rode better than the Showa kit stiff I was riding. No mid stroke harshness at all. Props to Yamaha.

more info please, stacks?

Sorry did not have a chance to spec it, only changed fork/shock springs and lowered the sub frame. The kid was heading to Texas and is short and light but I am sure we will do something when he gets back.

I see a pinch of a 2 stage in that fork base valve Russ. The 09 450 that I spec'd did not have that, no bleed stack either.

Yeah, I kind of like it...

I am curious as to why they did a 180 on the Comp shock..

Hard to understand why no bleed stack on the 450, seems like the 450 would need one more so than the 250. Maybe something to do with cornering, my 450 is really good but a little stiff sometimes. Keep thinking it will blow a fork seal so I can do something to it.
