We have been planning a ride/camp trip for quite a few months now. Wanting to sample Entiat, Foggy Dew and the Taneum areas. Entiat and Foggy Dew would be new to us so anticipation was high. I'm a lil' late with the report but here goes: Loaded up and left Carrolls Wa. 'round 3:30 a.m. on the 15th. Came over Stevens, Blewett and had camp set up by noon. It had gotten hot on the East side, said 104 degrees in Entiat. Either way, time for a ride. Rode out Tommy Creek, got turned around on the 1417, 1418 and the 1420. Wound up going up the 1421 and back down the Hi Yu trail (1403). Great section of tight rocks on top! Took a break along the Mad River Trail then headed North by Two lakes and up around Klone Peak. Back down through a burn and back to camp. Great first day! Day 2: Took off up Lake Creek #1443 and went South on 4 Mile Ridge. This is a great trail. Stopped at the intersection by Angle Peak and had a beverage. Rode South on Devils Backbone to Pot Peak Trail and then doubled back to Angle Peak. The boulder field on 1448 is a beauty. Took the North end of 1448back to Lake Creek and rode it down. Another hot day but great riding! The rangers I spoke with earlier about trails were spot on. The trails were in GREAT shape and the other user groups were all excellent about sharing the trails. Thumbs up for Entiat, next stop Foggy Dew!!
