drz-s jetting issue calif...2007

Recommended Posts

I have read just about jet post but have not seen one similar to mine.

I have a 07 drz- s converted to sm (17 wheels)ect

I do not have a Idle mixture screw on my mukuni 29fc carb (stock)

I have 3 jets

a 142.5 main

62.5 ?

22.5 pilot

It misses at idle. and a quick braap. will kill it.

It also stalls at idle sometimes. pops A lot at decell.

it is slow to take off and slow all the way up.

I have changed sprockets. 4 times now 16/40 now

and it will not go over 80 mph. level ground. 200 lb rider........

I bought it new. and it has 2000 hard miles on it now. and

it getting worse. I ride from sea level to 3500 ft regularly.

any suggestions on a first swap on the (3) jets??????

yes it does have a mixture screw.you need to remove that brass plug that is covering it.this is the same on all S/SM.

vacuum line connected to the petcock?

stock air intake hole?

the brass plug is in "stand off" on the bottom front of the carb.

do not drill the one next to the flow bowl gasket.

I saw the link. replace the whole carb?

I will be replaceing this bike soon with a 610 or a 650

want to keep cost low. and bike stock.

coming from xr5oo and xr650r dirt and gsxr 750 track bike.

I know this bike wont last long.( the last 49 did not)

I was just looking for a jet combo to smooth it out for the next owner.
