There used to be a ton of riding down in the area but land use isn't quite as free and easy as it was back in the day. There's good riding west of town (through Melrose) on Callahan ridge. Cavitt creek East of town used to be decent as was Deer creek. My favorite place to ride down there is Canyonville (the Disneyland of hill-climbing). Access has gotten tough there too but there are still a couple ways in that are legal, I believe. Definitely see if anyone from ULTRA can help you out.

Right now its closed to fire danger, IF they catch you on the trails its a ticket.

Callahans is still there and there is some trails left, due to some recent logging we lost some good trails, but after they leave they will get opened back up.

east of town theres deer cr , lots of riding up there, with miles and miles of trails you could actually go to cavit cr, lately there has been alot of side x side action going on up there.

Boomer hill is another place with lots of trails. i can do around 60 miles and not hit the same trail twice (except for the trail in and out).

canyonville cant comment, been there years ago with TJRace`s dad and it IS the disneyland of hill climbing.

I have heard of some awesome single track up on sugar pine ridge , but its invitation only . due to the fact of parking on private property and the BIG problem of garbage dumping in the past.

hope this helps, there are some more but... there secrete spots ?

Kinda weird but I grew up riding in all those places said, being I lived there 5 years ago. Now live in portland and see rick from boss all of the time. But anyways trails down in roseburg have mostly been logged to F or abandoned, so you will definatly need a escort. Why are you coming all the way up here to see rick for.

Going to see family first, then ride. I buy parts from Rick, has never let me down, so I thought I'd drive up to say ''HI'' IT'S a "BERG" thing :worthy::busted::blah:?
