what to set up on kawi 450f

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine has started to ride again and asked me to help him stup his suspension, he is an old expert rider and still decently fast. He weighs 210 now. anybody know the compression and rebound numbers we can do to get him in the ball park? The track is a supercross style with alot of small doubles.

thanks guys

Al

Here's MXA's settings- they are usually a pretty good starting point:

Forks- comp 10 out, reb. 10 out, oil level 340cc's, height 5mm up above the top clamp

Shock- sag 100mm, hs comp. 1 turn out, ls comp. 8 clicks out, reb. also 8 clicks out.

Now the springs are the important part of the equation; if he is 210 without gear, the spring calculators are telling me that he needs heavier springs both front and rear.....

where do you get the spring calculator?

yea , maybe we should put him on jenny craig, first so he does not have to spend so much cash.

thanks

I'd use a 5.8/.48 combo with revalve......but then again I'm not a spring generator;)
