fr/rr Brakes - Pegs Arrrrrggg!!!!

I bought a used Crf230 and noticed this Jerry Rig brake fix.

How hard is it to fix this, I know i will need the new part (name?), anybody know how hard it is to install......I will also be going on an easy run this weekend to test out the bike.....Should i be worried about the rear brake?

Also, Ive noticed some rear brake levers either level with the foot peg or below the foot peg.....is my position OK?

Ok 2nd to last question: When i spin my front wheel, im getting a tiny bit of friction on the fr brake rotor......is that normal????

Last Question: One of my pegs doesnt "spring" anymore.....so should i just get an OE replacement or aftermarket....any aftermarket suggestions?

PS You can ride with the crude "fix" just fine. Just make sure the rod doesn't pull through the brake arm. If it does, you won't have a back brake; use the front brake more ?

the friction in the front is normal... u can maybe wipe the rotors down with a rag.. just to clean off the dirt.. but ull ALWAYS have rubbing there...u can probably buy replacement springs... is the spring gone?? cuz it might have slipped off its point of contact on the peg, thus taking away the "springy' action
