crf450r serious popping on decel.

i just got a '03 450r..i set it up today and just finished a 35 miles christening this evening...the bike has a some serious popping on deceleration, this is due to a lean condition correct? i had pulled the plug before and it looked ok, not light but tan to brown...i have not pulled it out after the ride, the bike is still hot

i haven't pulled the main jet yet either...but am i right, it just need a bigger main jet

See the thread at the top for pilot circuit setting. It sounds like you just need to adjust the air/fuel screw. The main jet won't have anything to do with it... if anything you may need to bump up your pilot jet if you have to turn the fuel screw too far out.
