Not starting

I got a 98 yz125 and just replaced the top end on it. I took it up to the mountains to do some trail riding and I rode for about an hour and a half or maybe 2 hours and it will not start when i try to kick it now. It will bump start but that is it. There was no coolant in it after I was done riding and the radiator was not even hot any suggestions on what this could be?

Did you fill it back up with coolant after you replaced the top end?

that or a head gasket!

The radiator wasn't hot because there was no water in it.. how hot was the engine?

are the mountains cold? One time my bike leaked out all of its coolant (forgot to put in the drain screw back in). Then i refilled it but it had blown a head gasket so then coolant was leaking in. I noticed something was wrong so i shut the bike off. THen it would NOT kickstart, it bump started tho. I ripped off the jug and it was just filled with green goo. Unlikely that its your problem as well, but just a thought.

Yeah only run start sounds like no compression so pull the head off for a start

Or likely..

if there is coolant in the head, your spark plug should be wet or covered in green goo like mine. Either way, i agree with everyone that said rip off the jug.
