That happened to me too... big ol creosote branch, about the size of a large cigar, went through the boot, my sock, and deflected off my ankle and left no mark.. It was very strange.

Shallot, Garlic, Ginger

Dice shallot, grate ginger and garlic.

1/2 cup Jim Beam

1/2 cup Kikkoman Soy Sauce

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 cup Light Olive Oil

1/4 cup White Wine or Burgundy

Fresh Ground Pepper to taste.

Add some Boneless chicken thigh peices and let set in fridge for 4 hrs or so.

Indirect heat for an hour or so, apply a little smoke if you like.

This will knock your socks off!

Was truly a strange thing, the branch went through the boot AND sock, and was lodged inbetween my ankle bone and boot..... Not even a scratch on my foot... creepy actually.
