In need of hand guards, bars, risers but which ones?

Okay, I'm in need of some new hand guards, mabe a new bar and risers. Most people have the Acerbis brand guards, they look nice but, which model fits the DR650 with the aluminum bar that's mounted to the handle bar? When I check out the www for guards, there are so many models of the same brand so, I'm not sure which to get. I don't want to order something and not get what I think I should, know what I mean...Vern?

I have the Tusk bars and risers and I am very happy with them. Great products and great prices.

Hi synergy,

Have you checked out the FAQ?

I like the Tusk risers and barkbusters from www.rockymountainatv-mc.com

Thanks again Sarah, and to you too lowercasee. I checked out the FAQ and Rockymountain. Gonna order the Tusks for both bikes this morning, they look like the perfect guards and very affordable! As for bar and risers, I'm not sure what my needs are. I think I'd like to be able to soften up the feel a bit, if that's possible. I'll keep reading and searching. The bikes are GREAT, I'm glad we made the switch. Gotta work on the seats though.

Rocky Mountain also has this nice chart listing the measurements of different bars. It may help you with your choice. http://www.rockymountainatv.com/handlebarinfo.do

Yeah, I checked that out, its a neat list. I ordered the Tusk hand guards and got some really nice gel grips from TPI, with the tube. Still not sure about the bar. I'm gonna ride around today and try and get a feel for what position is best for me and then measure for a bar. I've heard some people fuss about changing over and having problems with cable length. I also want a larger tank and a better seat, not sure which tank. Any thoughts on that? I think I'll take my seat apart and do like Greer first, and if that doesn't fit then maybe I'll order a custom.

Thanks.

Noticed your from FL. I'm originally from FL too, Pensacola.

The IMS tank is probably the most cost effective, 4.9 gallons ~$250 (I think). Used ones are around from time to time.
