BRP rider snagged by the PO-PO.....restarted

Recommended Posts

This thread might not last long but, I had to razz Martinfan30 for being so sensitive:lol: He is a civil servent now and there will be no bashing of the Police!

Anyways someone asked to see the ST1300 doing a wheelie. Do to the fact that I just got a ticket for doing a wheelie I did a small first gear power wheelie in the culde'sac. It is windy and I was scared because it isn't a very long sack...or maybe I have a small sack...anyways there needs to be more sack and I need to wheelie on a mian street where I can shift into second.

:p

The nice thing about the ST1300 it is like the XR650R being it is a little of both worlds But, instead of half dirt race bike and half duel sport the ST1300 is half sport bike and half touring ST for Sport Touring. The police switched from the BMW 1150 to the ST1300 here in California as did the CHP. It is a nice combonation bike and it can do almost 150mph before the rev limiter kicks in. Very quiet and can be ridden in full rain (the motor driven wind shield moves up) nothing gets wet except the tip of your boots. Been there done that four times now in hard rain. read up on this bike if your looking for a nice bike that won't break the bank.

I hate me too...From what I've seen/read on this forum BWB63 is probably the best rider or has a brain smaller than Denn10/brontosaurs. It takes major skill to wheelie a 700 lb bike.

Eric.. here is your family version teaser for "Nailin Palin" She has my vote!

Now how long of a wheelie am I going to have to do on any bike to compete with that? Norge you sure have a way of hijacking a thread! I really hate you now:banghead:

I guess that is way better then Oboma "The One" dress in that.

Ok, I'll get the bike on a long street with more then one video camera and see if I can get this ST1300 in a balance wheelie and shift into second.....will that get this thread back on track? Hey, is there any "L" guys willing to get the "L" into a balance wheelie holding there favorit starbucks? I won't even bother getting the "R" out that is no fun can't video a bike doing a wheelie at 80 for a half mile:banana:

If the police are going to give me a ticket for doing a wheelie on a bike they use.....shouldn't they have to do the same or better before they give the ticket? I would like to see the popo with all there stuff they throw on their bike do a wheelie:banana: that would impress me!

The problem is when you set the bike down in first you are doing 65mph after a wheelie and second you are doing 80mph it is way to fast with that much weight in the air. It isn't a 400 pound sport bike. When the tire sets down it make a sound like a tire on a plane hitting the runway.

Coming from a closet "R" lover that hurts! If I rember right I think I am in the old mans club with MartinFan30 and still wise enough to vote for Palin.....I mean McCain.......You never got the front tire off the ground on that ride till you got on the 680cc bike:smirk: There wasn't an "L" out there that even got close to the "L"ame wheelie I video'd on the ST1300 during any of the ride. Only other wheelies were "R" riders..........

I know most of you "L" rider didn't ride much because you didn't have your starbucks to help get over the mean hangovers........Maybe it was the wind drag on the pink basket and bar tassels???

Hey, that was uncalled for.......I am not as old as your young dad. He is a great guy and lives young but, I am not that old!

We are thinking of having a good ride Thanksgiving weekend in Jashua Tree, Dry Lake Bed off HWY 62 North on Sunfair East three miles on the East side about two miles on Broadway. Most of the off road XR video's on my sight were taken there. Big sand hill, lots of dirt roads everywhere. It's a fun easy ride.
