Cooked crank seal bearings

08' 300XCW-E, 15 hours on the engine.... Any idea what would have caused this?

What cam?

if he thinks it has cam bearings then maybe he ran straight gas in it

Lol!!

Check your muffler bearings to make sure they were well-greased, and make sure your powerband has the right amount of slack as well.

If that doesn't work, make sure your knobbies were torqued properly.

Maybe you should just replace them and hope this doesn't happen again

Seriously though, your engine is a two stroke, it has no cam or even a valve train for that matter, you must be confused with something else.

I assume you speak of crank bearings. Not enough oil, running lean, ingested dirt from a poor air cleaner seal? All areas to look at.

My bad, still thinking in 4 stroke terminology lol! both CRANK bearings pooched.

dirt, air leak, forgot to add oil to the fuel, not enuf total fuel=jetting,
