2002 cr250, Good bike?

There is an '02 cr250 in great condition for sale near where I live and was wondering if anyone knows if they are good bikes or not and what your opinion is. It comes with renthal bars, gold rims and and motor porting for $1500.

Funny you'd mention this bike. Dirt Rider's January 2009 issue profiles the 00-01 models and calls them a good buy at $2,500 for one in good shape. I'd say newer for half that is some VALUE.?

02 and 03 have the same front fender. 04-07 is what your looking for, and yes the front fender bolts up with zero modification or clearance issues. however, the newer style # plate mounts to the top of the triple clamp instead of on the front like the 02-03's do. you can make it work, but would have to make a bracket for it, or drill a hole through the middle of the plate to mount it to the front of the clamp. other than the front # plate and fender, all the other plastic is the same from 02-07. ?
