buildup opinions...

hi all,

this is a summer build over here in Oz. im running an 02 Wr250f and had the xmas present of having the flywheel rivets come loose last ride. its got loads of km's in motard form in the last year...

so when in rome i decided to upgrade here's the plan:

01-02 lukes racing 310cc bigbore & stroker kit. (includes a retrofit yamaha rotor for the 03 crank to run 02 stator)

cams...recomendations

so i reckon without any head work its going to be fairly asthmatic in the top end so port works on the cards.

everyone seems to back the work of williamsmotowerx so i might give him a try

this may be a stupid question but will my poor stock clutch take the 310cc + port job with just the yz springs added?

bike currently runs

04 head courtosey of the valve it dropped last year

fmf q4 due to road regs.

if ive missed anything major please let me know i really wanna do this right the first time

As for cams, alot of people will recommend hotcams as they are not super expensive like other options. Most say that stage 2 hotcams match up well with a big bore kit but I believe that there is a stage 3 kit that is solely designed for the big bore kits, I am not sure if a stage 3 is offered though since its been quite some time that I have checked.
