It says the bore is 95.5mm, I'm pretty sure I've read in here, to go over 94mm on the Suzuki pot causes problems.

I'm at 95.5mm with a HOT Rods stoker crank... So far no problems.. I did this not by calculated choice, just need to at the time,,, I was out of the country, and thats what the cylinder needed to be rebored after that last destruction.

I've have had no head seal issues and it's been run fast and hot.

So far the sleeve skirt has not broken off.

Some contributing factors possible for the success?? I do not lug my motors, ... I run VP110 or U4.2 or VP105 leaded fuel, never allowing Pre-ignition or detonation to happen.

I would not set out to do a build with the 95.5mm bore. Not worth it in most cases I'd say

Great relibility and cost effecitness.

94mm, 13.5:1 piston, Large RCH valves, 187 cam, HR stroker crank, SSW cyl spacer.

If I had a local that wanted me to build another DRZ motor, that is what I would (have) suggested.

What about the Weisco 440 kit...any opinions on this kit? If one was to go 94mm, why not 94.5mm??

imho for 94.5mm to be done properly it needs to be aluminum sleeved and replated much like a 95.5mm cylinder would be.

its $100 more than doing a 94mm.

so besides that it still has the issue of potential head gasket issues because of how close the bore is to the water jacket.

there are few out there with no issues 1 being broncos which i built.

simple answer is no it is not as "worry free" as a 94mm set up.

I'd only run it on race fuel to be sure you avoid unwanted detonation. 13.5:1 is pretty high compression.

For street use, get the 12.5:1 piston.

Also, you only gain hp with race fuel if your bike is jetted for it.
