I doubt you can buy that pipe or that suspension.

I highly doubt akrapovic is selling the same pipe that team San Manuel is using. You can buy one from them that looks pretty much the same though.

You're probably correct about it being custom built for the bike it's on, but that would also mean it was not the optimum pipe for an otherwise stock YZ450, since the team bikes have other engine mods as well. The off-the shelf product would usually be better for most people than the race team systems would.

haha It's definitely not a question if I can afford it. Its just if I would want to put that much money into a bike. Obviously thats a sponsored bike ... it comes much cheaper than someone who isn't. I'm much happier with my bike haha. :busted:

I didn't mean that you can't afford it, I meant that that particular pipe was custom made for that race team and is not available to the public. You can buy one similar, but not the exact same one. But as Gray pointed out, the pipe you can buy is better suited for a stock engine.

The San Manuel team is using the Akra Povich Evo. They do sell that pipe, just not for the later model bikes, like 08 and up :-( Taht bike is so sick looking though.

I want one! No two!

That thing is sick as hell!!! I am jealous

what offset triple clamp are uou running?

That isn't his bike, it is Kyle Chisholm's factory bike. He is James Stewart's teammate.

There Is an AMA rule that states that factory bikes are built from parts that are avaible to the public. You can arrange to purchase this parts (Isuggest from the race team). In 1999 I purchased a complete YZ250 from Noleen, Tim Ferry took that bike to a podium (3rd) finish in Indy the night I picked it up. And I have a freind that has Lamson's factory Husky's. So yes you can buy these crazy built bikes and parts but at a healthy price.

Keep it WFO
