Burnt Clutch: will riding with it mess more up help

I got my clutch kit ordered and it wont be here till mid week. My clutch slips badly in 2nd and is adequate in other gears, but by no means good.

All my buddy's are going riding this weekend and I really want to go, Broad River MX, just wondering if riding with a burnt up clutch will reck havoc on other parts. Or make me have to get inner hub, basket and all that other pricey stuff opposed to just the plates I scored for cheap, OEM.

It will burn up more and continue to badly contaminate the oil. I would not ride it anymore till the clutch is carefully redone, followed by an oil and filter change.

even worse would be if the clutch plates break up, then you really got a mess. not worth it!

You did not mention year of the bike in your post but i would suggest also cleaning the oil screen. It can clog with clutch material and restrict oil flow!
