Keithsburg, IL HS conditions?

I am planning on racing the March 8th HS at keithsburg, but have never been there to ride. What are the terrian conditions like? Sandy,or mud and hilly, or flat.

If you love whoops, I mean alot of whoops. Its nothing but whoops. Fun place to ride every once in awhile.I live about 45 mins from there. If you want to see how inshape or out of shape you are and how sore you can get for the following day,that place is for you. You will either love it or hate it. So, is it a track HS or woods HS? I am not up for a track ride. I want a good old woods HS, like the moose run!

Gussie is doing a HS in Prophetstown the same day, I was told. What is the website to find his races?

It is nothing like Gusse's. Keithsburg is through the woods but no real mud or hills. Pretty much like a Sunday ride on pavement.(LOL). Oh and it is a little whooped out.

Who knows! The weather could have an effect and the econemy also.

WFO also runs seperate races so the A AA and B guys don't share the track at the same time as some of the slower riders.

Do they have any practice in the morning....or a parade lap...or just line up and race? ?

there is just a parade lap. I don't know when they start for the year, but during the summer, you can just go there and ride everyday. Just donate $10 and sign the wavier.

Was it just one sloppy mess? couldn't get parts for the bike in time or I would have liked to go.

There were a few decent places. But for the most part it was pretty bad. I went over my quad and found loose sprocket hub bolts, a bent shock mount on one of my lower arms, my pipe is now leaking a bit on the mid pipe side(not an issue though)... Few other loose nuts and bolts but ok other wise. This was my shake down for the begging of the year to see what I need to do to it. Less then I thought...
