06 YZ250 jetting off-road

Recommended Posts

Whats the best jetting anyone has for riding between 5000' and 7000'? Mine runs bad on the bottom and doesn't want to idle at all. N3EW in leanest position

What pilot jet? where is your airscrew set at? what main jet do you have(not that it will help your idle just for overall knowledge)? What temperatures do ride in?

What type of riding do you do, what kind of throttle range are you primarly in?

If it stock jetting the 06 came with a 50 pilot, airscrew at 1 turn out, a N3EJ jet needle, clip position #2 and a 178 main, if you still have the 50 pilot in there ditch it and try a 48, then possibly go to a 45 if need be

I use 172 mj and 45pj with clip 2nd from the top and 1.25 turns out on the air screw for 4000-8000 and 60-80 degrees. It seems to run fine at all those altitudes and temps, but more so lower and colder. Which puts me jetting rish for the most part and I feel safe with that.
